The Lightning Thief

.Why are the counselors having a hard time deciding who Percy’s Olympian parent is? Because there is no sign.
.How does Percy surprise everyone during his first sword class? How do you think he was able to do this? He defeated Luke in a sword fight. I think he was just a little luck or his Olympian parent half took over him.
.According to Grover, why did the “Big Three” gods swear never to have any more children?
Because there was a war with Zeus and Posiden's children against Hades' children and after that the three brothers had to promise on the River Styx not to have any more kids.
.Why does the story about Thalia make Percy feel “hollow and guilty”? She fought off a army of monsters to save her friends and all he did was destroy a Minotuar
.In capture-the-flag, why does Percy feel like he’s being left out of the action? Because he hears metal clanging together and all he did was stand by the creek
.How does Percy manage to overcome the kids from Ares’s cabin? He knocks one kid's helmet off, shaved one kid's plume, and break Clarisse's spear
.What was Annabeth’s plan to win the flag? Keep him there so the Ares's kids would come after him
.Why does Annabeth make Percy stand in the water? To show Chiron how he feels instantly better in the water
.What does Chiron say about how the hellhound got into camp? Someone summoned it. Someone in camp.
.When you find out Percy’s true identity, are you surprised or did you see it coming? What clues were given earlier in the book? I saw it coming I started knowing when knocked down Nancy Bobofit with out touching her, made Gabe fly through the air, and when the toilets and showers exploded.
