Chapter 3

“The best people get the worst luck.” Do you agree? Can you think of a
time when something terrible happened to a good person? Conversely, do
bad people have good things happen to them?
I
think that it just depends bad things happen to good kids sometimes... like for example Olivia is walking to lunch with her money ready to give it to the lunch lady then a couple of bullies steal her lunch money. Bad kids on the other hand do not get good things to happen to them unless they become good too.

What is the place that you feel most at ease – a place you’d like to be more
than anywhere else? The beach or at my home, because the beach is so calming and there is no place like home.

Does your family have a favorite or traditional place to spend vacations?
If so, describe it. If not, where would you most like to take a vacation if
money was no object? We go to my Grandmother's house on Christmas break. I would also love to go to South Padre Island again.

1. Why does Percy leave Grover at the bus station? What would you have done in
his place? Grover is freaking him out. I would have called my mom and told her I was coming home.

2. Why doesn’t Percy tell his mom the truth about Mrs. Dodds and the ladies at the
fruit stand? Because it would sound insane.

3. How does Percy get even with Gabe as they’re loading up the Camaro? He claws his chest then does sort of a pushing with his claws in the air.

4. Why is Montauk special to Percy’s mom? That's where she met Percy's dad.

5. Why does Percy’s mom eat blue food, and why does Percy love this about her? Gabe and her had a fight about eating blue food and Percy loves that about her because, it means she is not totally sucked in by Gabe.

6. What knew information does Percy learn about his dad as he and his mother are
roasting marshmallows? That his dad wanted to send Percy somewhere.

7. Describe Percy’s dream. What do you think it means? A white horse and an eagle fighting on the beach. Ithink that means that a war is about to start.

8. How does the title of the chapter, “Grover Unexpectedly Loses His Pants,” come
true? When he found Percy his pants, legs, and feet were replaced with furry legs and hooves.
