Chapter 10 Writing Prompt

Everybody at Half Blood Hill has a magical item. I think that another magical that would be good for Percy would be horse shoes when he puts them on and says sea the shoes will turn into a horse. My magical item would be something like Riptide but, it had a picture of a horse, so when I uncap the pen it will become a sword, click the pen it is able to right {this can only happen while it is in pen form}, when I lose it with or without the cap it will return in my hand only if it is in sword form the cap will disappear and recap it and it will turn back into a pen and return itself back in my hand, and when you say the Greek word for horse it will turn into a horse.

I will defend it but, I can not think of a reason why the Congress would do that!! Why you ask because, some thirteen year olds are not tall enough, some are immature, and the Congress can be mean sometimes :( {just my opinion}

The Lightning Thief Thoughts

I get so anxious to read the book at home that I HAVE to leave my iPod in the living room and go to my room and do something to keep my mind off it. Now let's talk about thing that I like or dislike about The Lightning Thief. First off my favorite characters are Grover and Mr. Brunner {Chiron}. I guess my favorite scenes would be the museum from the chapter I Accidentally Vaporized My Pre-Algebra Teacher and the bathroom from the chapter I've Become Supreme Lord Of The Bathroom. Someone once asked me why do like this book? Here is my answer: I like this book because, it is a fun, adventurous, and so much better than most books I read. I am going to keep on reading the series Percy Jackson And The Olympians. The last thing I need to say is that I have not looked further in Greek Mythology.

Chapter 3

“The best people get the worst luck.” Do you agree? Can you think of a
time when something terrible happened to a good person? Conversely, do
bad people have good things happen to them?
I
think that it just depends bad things happen to good kids sometimes... like for example Olivia is walking to lunch with her money ready to give it to the lunch lady then a couple of bullies steal her lunch money. Bad kids on the other hand do not get good things to happen to them unless they become good too.

What is the place that you feel most at ease – a place you’d like to be more
than anywhere else? The beach or at my home, because the beach is so calming and there is no place like home.

Does your family have a favorite or traditional place to spend vacations?
If so, describe it. If not, where would you most like to take a vacation if
money was no object? We go to my Grandmother's house on Christmas break. I would also love to go to South Padre Island again.

1. Why does Percy leave Grover at the bus station? What would you have done in
his place? Grover is freaking him out. I would have called my mom and told her I was coming home.

fruit stand? Because it would sound insane.

6. What knew information does Percy learn about his dad as he and his mother are
roasting marshmallows? That his dad wanted to send Percy somewhere.

7. Describe Percy’s dream. What do you think it means? A white horse and an eagle fighting on the beach. Ithink that means that a war is about to start.

8. How does the title of the chapter, “Grover Unexpectedly Loses His Pants,” come
true? When he found Percy his pants, legs, and feet were replaced with furry legs and hooves.

strange? To protect Percy.

Chapter #1: A

The best field trip I have ever been on is the NEW Cowboy's Stadium! When we arrived we learned that it is bigger than you could ever imagined. When we got inside we had to go up an escalator. We got to see EVERYTHING! We got to see the press box, the field, the Dr. Pepper area, the stands, one of Jerry Jones' suites! One of the funny things on that field trip is that every time Mr. Smith passed by me he took a picture with the type of camera that photographers would use. We got to eat lunch where no one else ever got to eat. Oh and I forgot that we went to see the cheerleaders and football players' lockers.

I'm Like Who?

I am like Poseidon {Neptune} he is the god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses.I am like Neptune because, I love to swim, I love the sea, and I love horses more than you know it. He may be a god but, if there would be a goddess form of him it would be me. I am also like the goddess Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty. I am like her because, peace requires love and the beauty part I am not really sure but, I am adorable. I am not like the goddess Artemis the goddess of hunting. The reason I am NOT her is because, I will NOT hunt ever. Hunting is cruel {all though i am carnivore} but, I will NEVER see an animal be killed by a gun.

The Lightning Thief

4. In Ancient times, the Greeks had gods for many important forces in their lives --
the sea, thunderstorms, farming, music, medicine, poetry, archery, etc. Why do
you think they imagined many different gods rather than just one? Would this
make life more confusing or less confusing? My answer would be that they probably thought of these because, they thought that one person created rain, one created the sun, and the one created the wind. For them it might of made their life less confusing.

5. Do you believe in anything that science can’t prove -- such as magic, or ghosts, or
creatures like the Loch Ness monster? Why or why not? Yes, cause if science can't prove it then no one knows if it is there or not.

6. Have you ever been to summer camp? If so, describe what you did or did not like
about it. If not, imagine and describe what you think a typical summer camp
would be like – any impressions from television or movies? I have never been to summer camp but, I think it would be fun the creativity, the lake, the activities, and the nature. Yes I got that from television and/or a movie.

7. You have been granted one magical item of your choice. What would this item be,
and what power would it have? I would pick a water wand. It would be able to bend and/or move water however I want and/or wherever I want, as long as it is in my hand and I am thinking about how I want to bend and/or where to move it.
